Pierre Kevin Cooke, Jr. is a dedicated advocate in the fight against childhood obesity,
with deep personal and academic roots in law and sociology fueling his commitment.
From his start as Barbados’ Youth Prime Minister to becoming a regional leader in
health advocacy, he spearheaded the Childhood Obesity Rights-Based Agenda to
empower young advocates. His work spans multiple platforms, including presentations
at the UN General Assembly and collaborations with global health organizations,
focusing on innovative, rights-based solutions. Pierre’s relentless pursuit aims to
amplify youth voices and integrate nutrition-focused actions within global health
frameworks, striving for systemic change in tackling childhood obesity worldwide.
